 Peter McConaughy
Peter
McConaughy, P.E. is the founder and president of McCon
Engineering, Inc. Peter has been practicing structural
engineering since 1983 and is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware. Peter graduated suma cum laude from the University of Maryland in the
spring of 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a
concentration in structural engineering.
Peter has worked as a
structural engineer for several Maryland engineering firms, gaining
experience in concrete design, steel design,
post and beam construction, concrete tilt-up construction, and
industrial plant engineering. He has also worked as a construction
project manager and owner's representative on several major construction projects, and has previous experience in residential
framing as a carpenter.

 Michele McConaughy
Peter's wife, Michele, is typcially the first person you speak with when you call
McCon Engineering, Inc. Michele handles the administrative, clerical,
and bookkeeping responsibilities, freeing Peter to focus on the structural
engineering. She also provides drafting support in production of
drawings and assists Peter during site visits. Michele and Peter are happily
married and buisy training Micah, the new McCon
Engineering company mascot.
